![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Selga Mountains (2 sub-boards) Rising out the forests, into the clouds, the Selga mountain range marks the edge of the lands known as Ciel Noir. Rugged and inhospitable, they are a formidable obstacle to any who may consider entering or leaving the lands. Perhaps they alone account for the unusual variety of life that lies in their shelter, for what normal human would brave such a place?

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Glacial desert This vast expanse of snow seems to go for miles. Only a few rocks here and there, and never a single plany of blade of grass. A few miles in stands a large glacier. It is beautiful in it's own way, but beware. It is trecharous and sharp. Fall and you may suffer until you die form the cold.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Hidden Falls (1 sub-board) The hidden falls were named long ago, and are not so hidden as they once were. The falls are great and blue, and run off the cliffs of the Selga mountains, eventually leading to lake Azure. It is dangerous to climb the rocks near the falls, as they are slippery and dangerous.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Dark Forests (2 sub-boards) The Dark Forests, a vast expanse of tall pines extending for miles in every direction. All manner of creatures reside within these trees. But they do so at their own risk. Aside from the predators, primarily wolves, which prowl the borders, the deeper areas hold creatures more dangerous still... ![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Badlands (1 sub-board) These lands are by far the most unappealing in Ciel Noir. They are filled with long passed and rotting trees, burned fields, sheer cliffs, and the area is almost always inhabited by an unwelcoming fo. Near the middle of the badlands, Mt. Kyro stands. It is an obviously active volcano, towering in the distance.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Lavander Swamp (1 sub-board) This swamp is located very near to the dark forest. It is damp, musky, muddy and altogether unpleasant. It is deep and quite hard to travel. There are some spots where lush green spots rise high enough to escape the muck. These spots are quite beautiful and often covered with lovely lavander, though most don't deem these spots worth crossing the marsh.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Open Plains (1 sub-board) Uncovered grassland, only the occaisonal lonely tree for shelter. Open to the bitter winds or the burning sun, these areas nonetheless hold various herbivores gathered to take advantage of the lush grass. But the weather is not the only problem, for the plains are open to the ever watchful eyes of hunters... ![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Windsong Forest This forest is smaller than the dark forest, but not by much. It is significantly brighter, and much more friendly. it has diverse plants and animals, small clearings hee and there, and the most lovely wildflowers. It is located near the terresti Hills.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Terresti Hills (2 sub-boards) At the edge of the plains, the falt land starts to rise into a small group of uneven hills. Covered with grass and moorland, with occasional copses and small lakes, the hills provide shelter and a home for many different creatures. The proximity to the village also means that the hunters are able to take advantage of the wildlife here. Moderator: ~Lady.Of.The.Lake~ | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Parchment Desert This desert was named after the golden sands that roll for miles throughout the area. This desert holds dunes of white and gold sand, spaning across the horizon. It is hot here, and exceedingly dry. Ironically, during winter nights, it becomes almost unbearingly humid. a very unique trait for a desert. There are a few rocks and a couple of trees, but only one lone oasis has ever been recorded. This desert is massive, and with only one small water source, I wouldn't reccommend getting lost.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Terresti Village (1 sub-board) A small, quiet bundle of houses surrounded by fields. Generally a tranquil place, the people here lead simple existances on the whole. It's a pleasant looking place, with small cottages and barns, most with thatched rooftops. The sort of place where fat tabby cats curl up in front of a farmer's fireplace. Cozy. At least, most of the time... ![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Lost Stone River This river runs off the Selga mountains, down the hidden falls and finally runs into lake azure. trees line it's banks, and the water quite drastically changes with the seasons. It is warm in summer, cold in winter, and inbetween during fall and spring. The river was named so because no one could decide wether to call it Azure River, or hidden River, they compromised calling it Lost Stone River.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Lake Azure (3 sub-boards) Here, the Wynada river cascades into a huge lake, separating the outlying village of Terresti from the sprawling hubbub of Meira. Home to all manner of freshwater fish and other creatures, this lake is also a popular site for birds and other animals keen on seafood. As a result, it is currently a protected region of the countryside, and whilst many may come for a walk or a picnic, no people reside here. ![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Meira (2 sub-boards) Meira is the largest town in the area. Everything can be found here, from churches and schools to rows of shops and cinemas. At its centre it's a thriving mass of activity. At its edges, sleepy suburbs with parks and gardens enjoy a more peaceful life. At its Western end lies a busy port, opening out into the seas beyond. ![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Vast Seas (1 sub-board) After the bustle and activity of Meira's port has been left behind, the sea opens out into a seemingly endless expanse of deep blue waters. Sparkling beneath the sun, small shoals of fish may be seen near the surface, but who knows what creatures lurk in it's depth? Moderator: ~Lady.Of.The.Lake~ | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Misty Cliffs These cliffs overlook the sea. They are high, slippery and rough, and fog and mist surrounds them nightly. During the day they are humid, but not nearly as dangerous than in the night hours. If you were to fall, you would survive, as long as you didn't hit the rocks, and you could swim.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Mayix Chain (3 sub-boards) This chain of islands consist of twelve. There is one main island, Curian, the smaller "twin islands", seperated by a mere swimming distance, Shamin and Hadrin, and 8 or so smaller islands called The Shards. There are also a few tiny islands, to small to really mention. This string of islands is out at sea past the ports of Meira.

![[ ]](http://s3.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Entaria This under-water city lies beneath the waves far away from the Meira, and even a great distance from the Mayix chain. It is unihabited, but very beautiful. It's towers are blue and shining, decorated with glass, shells and crystals, all reflecting light form the surface brilliantly. It is a vast city, told of above land in legends. not many have seen it, but those who are brave enough, and can find a way, there is nothing stopping them from entering.
